Varna Plan- Good Food Guide

The 300 and some Varna eating establishments range from a simple converted village front dining room to a five star hotel with Michelin rosette accreditation, however knowing where the best food is not always flagged up by such pomp and ceremony or indeed rural simplicity.

Thus the staff of Varna Plan with their never ending thirst for information and also requiring something to eat have embarked on a crusade, a mission to discover the eating jewels of Varna. We will be investigating in our travels every nook and cranny and asking the restaurants themselves to tell us what they feel is their best dish or their preference as a eatery to prepare and cook. This is not meant to be a listing of who’s who in the chef world of Varna, more a laid back tourist approach to what’s good and recommended by the chefs and cooks themselves and more importantly the locals who eat there.

We also welcome any of our visitors to send in their findings, as I can’t see us eating out for 300 odd days in order to find out all there is to know. So if you have a tale to tell be it great a great gastronomic find or the Bulgarian "Hells Kitchen" please bring it on.

Each establishment  we visit will have its information updated onto the restaurants information within the plan and eventually we will be able to offer a breakdown of the "Best for Fish" or the "Best for Bulgarian" etc. thus giving further much needed information for our clients in order for them to have at their fingertips when agonising on where and what to eat tonight!

The way we will highlight "The Good Eateries" within the application, will be to award to each our own "Chef's Hat". The more hats the better we feel the whole experience has been, again this is a completely arbitrary and subjective award and can be argued by all and sundry if they so feel like doing. Our aim is to say what it was like when visited, if we liked and how much we liked and to listen to the maître d and the chef as to what they like serve and cook. So be sure to look out for the "Hats" when chosing a restaurant, bistro or cafe.
